How is the door seal on an AEG 74630 attactched?

Yes, you can replace the door seal through the door opening. It is attached to the outside casing by a plastic band. This can be released by looking under the rubber flap at the bottom of the seal. It is connected to the drum by a spring band. To remove to old one, simply pull off. Replacment is difficult (to the drum). First replace without the spring band, making sure it is fully seated (not easy). Finally stretch the spring band over the joint.
