Hi, i have just bought a 2000 transit 2.4td as a non runner. The van will turn over for around ten seconds then it will start and you can rev it for around 5 seconds then the glow plug light will flash and it will cut out. I am going 2 scan it tomorrow and see what codes say. Ive heard of fuel filters blocking? Any ideas?

After changing pump, found chafed wire in loom ,in starter mtr area. Ok now.

I would first look for an air leak on the fuel system,you don't say if it is petrol or diesel,check fuel pipes are connected firmly and show no signs of cracking,if it is petrol check the carb is tight on the manifold,sounds like a fuel problem,have you changed filters or worked on it recently,if so redo it.
