If your van has a one piece roof you may find the water leeks in under a roof light as the original sealant may of dried out. I had this problem and got some proper NON SETTING sealant recommended from a local caravan agent. It is fairly easy job to take the roof light out, clean off all the old sealant and refit using the new sealant. All can be done from inside the van. First open the fly screen and using a flat screwdrive gently prise the screen from the hinges and remove the screen. Next remove the no2 pozidrive screws (mine has 9) and the base of the roof light comes away. There is only the original mastic holding the top of the light to the roof so with care the top can be pushed away from the roof. By turning the light side ways it can now be lowered through the hole in the roof. With a stepladder I got my shoulders through the roof hole and cleaned the old mastic off the roof. Clean all parts, new mastic and refitting was easier than the taking to bits
