my laptop screen was flashing on and of then whent dark can still seen ikon?

Check and make sure it's not a wiring problem. My Toshiba screen went dark one day and I found a poor connection at a multiplug located under the keypad.

Hi probably the backlight has failed. These can be replaced by the DIYer well I did mine ok if you search the internet there are many guides to the process. I got a repacement out of a cracked screen from a local computer shop most have the same connecter just have to find a screen the same size
