How do i fit a new battery on my Rover 214, the horn goes off every time?

i have a rover 214 and the key fob wont open or turn the imobilizer off any help please

If you don't have the key fob - remote un/lock fob

disconnect the earth from the battery (black Lead)

reconnect the battery black terminal and it should not activate the imobliser.

I have starred out the main point as you do not have an active alarm or imobilser at this point.

thanks Tom I have tryed this but the horn (alarm) goes off EVERY TIME & the neighbours are getting Pi**ed off

I had an L reg. Changed a few batteries. Locking then unlocking central locking reset immobiliser?
