where is the water coming from?mondeo mk1 2.5v6?

hi all,i have a mondeo 2.5 v6 mk1,i have water constantly soaking my driver footwell,ive read about the seals on this page and will try that,but my boot carpet is soaked too,any ideas????

the previous owner did a bodge job on refitting the spoiler,and i think that leaks,but that doesnt seem to get into the boot floor,it stays in the boot lid until i open it,and then pours out onto your head!!

last question,could the water leaking into my car cause all the windows to steam up all the time and make the inside of the windscreen freeze?

hope you can all help,cus this is driving me nuts trying to sort it
