Mend Ford 02 Transit Valve

Ford Transit 280 02 Fuel metering valve?

I have just fitted a new Bosch fuel metering valve to the rear of the injector pump. The fitting went ok. Power feed to metering valve is ok, feed to heater plugs ok and diesel to injectors ok. However, now vehicle will not start. I would welcome any suggestions as to why?
