Interesting? Philco Softline combined washer dryer faulty programmer?

I have a Philco Softline combined washer dryer, approx 7 years old, up until last year it was regularly maintained on a Philco Service Contract.

This was my daughters machine and has been replaced with a new model as it developed what we believe to be a fault with the programmer - it's always been used on the same program setting and now doesn't finish the cycle unless you click the programmer onto another setting.

The fault has not been checked by an engineer so I do not honestly know how serious or minor the fault is.

Any answers please?
