Mend Vauxhall Astra Key Fob Immobiliser Car

52 vauxhall astra?

My son has changed the battery on his key fob but has now immobilised the car. He can still drive with the spare key which has no fob but how can he reset his fob. He has had it 6 years and didn't even know it had an immobiliser!!
