Sky Plus - middle green light constantly revolving?

Hi Folks

We've just found that the middle circle, revolving green light is constantly revolving (clockwise , then anti clockwise).

There's nothing playing and there's nothing recording.

We've tried turning the box off at the mains and waiting - but it comes back on again

Any ideas?
