Don't forget to drain as much water as possible from the outlet hose before removing the hose from the pump !!

Most likely the pump. The impeller may have come adrift from the shaft. Run washer so that noise can be heard then switch off power at socket or unplug from mains. Remove back panel from machine and locate the pump at bottom left position (from rear view). Identify phase connection and mark as such - both connections are red. Remove phase connection and leave in safe position - make sure nothing can interfere with the movement of the drum etc. Switch back on at socket and if the noise has stopped it is almost certainly the pump. Switch off and remove the plug from the socket. Remove second spade connection from pump and (2x) 10mm bolts from underside of pump. Loosen and relocate (1) large and (1) small hose clips so that the pump body can be removed from chassis. To check the impeller inside the pump - remove (3x) torx screws from the flange and open the shell carefully. The white(?) impeller may be adrift or may too easily split from the shaft. There may be signs of water ingress or grey gunge inside the housing - the seals have perished. A new pump can be had from E Spares for around £21.00

The rattling noise is the fan located near the motor. If you open the door and pour water in the water collector hole (located towards the bottom left corner of the machine) you should notice the tank fills up. If not the pipe is blocked. If it does fill up, the water fault may be the condenser (attached to the air filter) Make sure it's not clogged up with cotton. There's a good chance your fan isn't circulating the air around the machine, so you'll find your clothes come out warm but damp - its the air flow blowing through the condenser that cools down the hot air to water that drips down to the tank through a series of pipes. I don't think it uses a pump, but does use gravity. Hope that makes sense ; )
