Hi all I have a servis M6725 machine that will get so far through a cycle but will not pump the water out. I am pretty sure its not the brushes. When I put it on the pump and spin setting the pump does not seem to kick in. Does this sound like the pump is gone and is there a way to test it.
if its a askol pump that's fitted then its cheaper.

Thanks Paul. In the end I took the pump out and rigged up a simple power supply to it. It did not turn so I am assuming its gone. Replacement part £27.50

Make sure nothing is jamming the pump,try turning the pumps impeller36° using a screwdriver.
If the pump isn't jammed, then its highly likely the pump has failed,or the pump isn't getting the voltage needed to run it at set points in the cycle.
Without a multimeter you can only go on what you see,
the pump is a little tricky to meter, as it uses magnets,and a none continuity reading doesn't always indicate failure,.
You could meter the pumps wiring connector for voltage,but you need to know at which point the pump kickes in,
the spin cycle is a good point to meter the pump, but I don't recommend you meter it this way,.
Its far too dangerous to have your hands in there when the machine is doing 1100 rpm.
