ah also it could have water in the carb that will exactly that too if it has ,drain the carb to see by undoing the small drain screw on the bottom of the carb at the side 2 turns for about 5 seconds and see what comes out.

sounds like the main jet is blocked up or its out of fuel,its running weak either way.
