How do I fix a snowblower?

A brand new $800 Sears snowblower shocks me every time I use it. The store doesn't want to fix it. It doesn't have a light on it. At first it was small shocks about a 1/2 hour into use. I've now used it 6 hours total and some of the shocks are pretty bad. It also starts shocking within 10 minutes of starting it. I started wearing rubber gloves awhile ago, but does anyone have any suggestions? Otherwise it runs beautifully.
