Need to fix my Technics stereo inergated model #SU-G90?

My amplifier will work wonderfully and suddenly all power goes out. But if I put pressure on the front right corner it will turn on again. Most times this works easily and sometimes I have to struggle a while before it comes back on. What in the world is wrong with it? It is very frustrating. My husband has opened it up and taken a look inside to see if anything is loose or something, but he says he sees nothing wrong that he can tell. Hopefully someone can help!!! I am using this amplifier by itself with my ipod plugged into it and nothing else is plugged into it.

I've repaired many of these with the same problem. It is caused by cold solder joints on the regulators and/or the output IC. If you are not trained in electronics repair, as I am, you will have to have it repaired by someone who is qualified. It takes about an hour to complete the repair.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere. There is no easy fix for something like this. You will need to take it to a service center for repair. If you keep trying to switch it on, eventually it will completely short out and you will have bigger problems. Take it to a center as soon as you can. The reason it probably comes back on when you push on that corner, is because it is probably shifting the main circuit board, and whatever is causing the short, is also being moved. So, the problem is definitely one of the diodes or resistors on the board. Unless you have the proper testing equipment, it's hard to determine which one it is!

Go to www.pasc.panasonic.com and there is a section called LOCATE A SERVICE TECHNICIAN - just enter your model #, and zip code, and a list of authorized techs in your area will be listed, along with phone #'s and addresses!

Good luck!
