Mend Whirlpool LSB6300LW2 Machine Not Fill

lsb6300lw2 whirlpool washing machine will not fill and advance cycles?

My top load washing machine will not fill or cycle to the next step. Sometimes it does fill but does not stop filling and overfills the tub on to the floor.

I have replaced the water inlet valve and the pressure switch.

Do you think i would need to replace the timer? if so, are there any other parts to replace for this problem>?
