I cut the cable to tread through the dashboard. On connecting it again to the plug - the Navman doesn't seem to recognise the connection of power so turns itself off. Also won't turn on when car ignition activated (power on again to Navman).
Will not stay on long enough to log on. Start charging picture come on

Seems like you cut the cable while it was p;ugged in the lighter socket. Now you need a different charger. If you still want to feed through the dash then make sure its not plugged in beforeyou cut.
