how can i fix my renault scenic dash?

There have been several reported issues with Renault's Scenic & Megane dashboard cluster faults reported on here - search Scenic Cluster and Megane Cluster....

From what I can gather there is a manufacturing defect that crops up on too many of them - people report £600 repair costs at an authorised dealership with a 6month guarantee.

Here's a link to a company that offer to repair them for much less - they used to show a cost of £180 as I recall but I can't see their pricing on the site anymore - they also offer a two-year guarantee.
