help with wooden blind cord?

the string that operates opening and closing wooden slates has got shorter than the other so only got minimum operateing how can i get them back to same length please help

Take the blind down and look in the top of the blind.
You will see a small wheel that the cord is wrapped around which when the cord is pulled it turns one way and when the other cord is pulled it will turn in the opposite direction.
The cord is supposed to be wound in neat coils.
You will find that one cord has 'jumped' out of sequence and is not allowing the correct cord to wind.
Lift this cord off the other at the same time pulling the shorter one.
It should then release jam.
