how can i fix the wipers on fiat punto 2003?

since my wife turned on her wipers when they were frozen to the screen the wipers will not stop in there normal parking position

thanks dennis i tried that but as they were stopping in the upright position when i had refitted them they were trying to go down first so i uncoupled it on the spline coming from the wiper motor moved the wipers to correct position & re-fitted solving the problem, except for just a minor adjustment to get the correct position back on the splines, many thanks for your advice, regards steve

Stop them where they come to rest, remove and refit in the correct position.
All they've done is slip on the drive splines.
