One bulb of a five bulb chandelier went pop whilst light was on. The switch tripped and they all went out.
I replaced it with an identical bulb and that one doesn't light up at all now (have tested the bulb and it does work elsewhere) and also the remaining four bulbs that do light up won't dim with the dimmer switch(replacement bulbs are suitable for use with dimmer switch).
Can anyone shed any light on the matter (pardon the pun!) Is the light fitting cream crackered?
I would say it probably is considering the bulb works fine elsewhere.
For the switch to trip there would have had to be a lot of current flowing through the circuit, shich wouldn't have done your dimmer any favours.
