The previous post is spot on. Also when you take the top cover off (2 screws a the back and then tap quite hard with the palm of your hand horizontally on the front edge of the washing machine top and it will come off. Also take of the inspection cover at the back of the machine to reveal the motor. At the top I wedged the drum back a bit with a saucepan to allow more access to the wheel on the drum to more easily fix the belt on. Feed it round the wheel bit by bit till it is all round the edge and then gently using a screwdriver push it to the middle - to line up with the marks left by the original belt. You may have to wiggle the belt backwards and forwards on the pulley attached to the motor in order to reposition it nearer the middle.
