how do i recharge the heating system after bleeding radiators?

i bled the radiators in the house and i noticed that the water gauge was on zero so we put the key into the system and try to fill up with water.however we could hear water going into the system but the gauge was not moving.now we have hot water but not heating(frezzzzing)
any solution?
the radiator is a GREENSTAR 24i junior
