How can I fix heat damage and discoloration to a microwave?
We had a small fire on my glass top stove. The over the stove mounted microwave is structurally fine but he heat melted the clearcoat on the front edge and let black soot penetrate under the clearcoat all the way up the handle. Is there any way to remove the clearcoat to clean the front and then re seal it? I am hoping to avoid replacing the entire unit as it is cosmetic damage only.
