Woohoo wish I had known this 3 yrs ago ... I paid £125 to be fixed .... them started doing it again few days go then just wouldn't come off stand by ... so big thank you for the info the menu and 4725 worked for me BUT i only had to press menu and 47 and it come straight on ... not sure how long it will work for like that but even so thanks so much the info is much appreciated xx

Works perfect after pressing menu, 4725... Even with a remote that wasn't even programmed, straight from eBay.

i can be watchin my xenius 37" tv and it will turn it self off, i have to go over to the tv and turn it off by the button on the tv and wait bout an hour before i can get it to come on my warranty ran out a few months again i have read the comments above but i dont have the remote for the tv i use my sky remote as my dog chewed the remote that came with it any help plzz?

You managed to get it fixed? i have the same tv with xenius lcd 42.²LA42BDOF, and doing same problem. took it down to repair guy, said something about a main chip and it being a major repair.

i had the exact same trouble with my 42 inch and the tv engineer pressed the menu button on the remote followed by 4725....... there is obviously a programmed fault on these sets thak kicks in after the warranty expires (very naughty). Think about it, how many people would just go out and buy a new set???
