how can i fix my item?

ive got a 2004 vectra sri 1.9 cdti,ive just had a new alternator fitted an d now the power steering light wont go off?

Vauxhall Vauxhall Vectra SRI 1.9 CDTI Vehicles, Cars Vauxhall Vectra Cdti

is it the correct alternator? your power steering is probably hydro-electric. have a look at the wiring to the alternator & see that all the wires are connected. if there is a wire not connected, have a look to see if there is a position on the alternator for it. or it could just be that something needs to be reset.
