CITROEN C5 AIR CON BLOWER MOTOR?

had the same problem, replaced the unit still no go, did a voltage check on the unit ok when ignition turned on but dropped to 6.5 volts when the engine started traced the red and black wires wiring that feed the fan control (change color the red wire becomes 2 blue wires) to the electronic box under the bonnet on the left the two blue wires go to the rear of the middle main plug removed the plug closed the gaps in the terminal a bit so there was good contact and the system now works fine just a bad connection only took about 4 hours of pain.

Thanks Phil S but your answer almost certainly solves my problem but raises an issue which has been driving me nuts How do you "...remove the shroud under the steering wheel" without wrecking it? Thanks in anticipation.

A new control module cured mine. No fan power at all was the fault. Price 58 +Vat.

99% chance its the fan control module it's located in the heater unit ,to gain access remove the shroud under the steering wheel the fan control module has 2 seperate plugs one with a thick red and black cable the other with a thick red and black cable and 2 thinner cables it is held in in place with 2 hexagon screws the top one is difficult to see without a torch it is very easy to remove, it can only be obtained from main dealers and costs about 58 quid inc vat just changed mine with same symptons and now works perfectly a very common problem on all french cars
