how can i fix my ps2, the oldest version not the slim one?

hi. same thing happened to me. i still havent fixed the ribbon(mine didnt break, it just came off). you have to take off the top and then take off the little black plastic thing witha yellow sticker that says Caution do not stare at lens or somehing like that. Then you have to realign the disc tray and tada, your halfway done. Sorry about the other half... Ill try to post when i figure it out.
