How can I stop SL8 Intruder Alarm Outside Light Flashing?

We have an SL8 Intruder Alarm System, installed brand new by bulider when house was built 3+ years ago. We've never used it as we have dogs and they have the run of the house. Yesterday when decorating i knocked the cover off a motion sensor and set the alarm off. We don't know the code so having found instruction manual etc. I entered code written in pencil on the back presuming this was code..needless to say it didn't silence the alarm. Tried to enter 0000 and 0123 as codes and they didn't silence alarm either. Alarm siren finally silenced after about 20 mins but the light on the alarm box on the front of the house is still flashing. The SL compact control panel box has the day & power lights illuminated but no other lights. Please does anybody have any advice on how to do a factory reset so that we can select a pin no.? or how to get the box light to stop flashing?
I have tried calling both support numbers on the booklet but neither are recognised and no trace of this co. on the net either.
