What is the fault with my Ariston boiler DIA 20/24 MFFI CE Type C?

Finally solved solved problem on my boiler myself it was the PCB the relay at the far right hand side was burnt out. Bought an exchange unit from eBay My World: all-spares-direct1 on e bay £50 they have spares available- alperton. Isolated boiler removed old pcb -4 screws made a note of wiring colours only 3 had to be removed with screwdriver(including ignition wire- push fit) plus the 5 plug connectors pulled off. Once new board pt no 950331 was fitted boiler fired up and controlled itself from thermostat without cutting out at temp.. Now runs ok and much quieter. May be worth a try for £50 you will need to return your old pcb to them. I was quoted £180 for the pcb from elsewhere. Good luck hope this helps - give them a ring.

Had a diaphram fitted for the hot water as that packed in, and just had a pressure switch fitted, no different. i have just emailed info at deansgas.co.uk to find out if they have a PCB board. engineers where no help what so ever, all i get told is to change the boiler??? I am a car/truck engineer and have a feeling there is a relay at fault in the system, i will keep you updated,

Coincidence ? same problem on our model had new pump fitted made no diffference. Switching off seems to reset something a click can be heard then when switched off then when mains switched on it fires up. The fault is intermittertant seems to relight boiler on a number of occassions (6 or more) then on reaching temp flame switches off - if pump remains on then the boiler relights. However when the flame switches off sometimes the pump stops. When the pump stops as the flame shuts down the boiler will not then restart unless the power is switched off then on again. Any ideas prepared to have a new board if required but would like to know if a check can be made to be sure it is not a cheaper part causing problem.
