Berlingo- Instruments go off when I go over a bump?

Every time I go over a bump or brake sharply the instruments on the dash go off and a flashing light appears in the centre of the dash saying stop. Enngine keeps running ok. When I stop the car and switch the ignition off and back on again it resets hust leaving a few fault warning light which eventually clear. Berlingo Diesel 1.6 HDI 2006
