Mend Ryobi RCT2800AD Correct Start

what plug is correct for ryobi grass scorpion RCT2800AD?

just been given one but needs cleaning up & wont start so thought I'd just start from scratch & make sure they were even using correct spark plug. Also anything elsthat may cause this problem. I ve never worked on one before but over the years I have become quite a good self taught mechanic & am willing to try my hand at most types of machinery. And yes I am female.

in australia buddy the common plug for the scorpion line trimmer is the cj8 and are always available in mower repair shops, nurseries and hardware stores, this plug is also used for the victa 2 stroke power torque lawn mower and many briggs and stratton engines, but not to say that you couldnt use another brand;

I have a RTC2800A - the spark plug is a Champion DJ8J
not sure if it's the same for your model!
