I found if you fully drain the machine, and restart it at the drain step (last 2 minutes of programme), WITHOUT REFILLING, and with the FILTER REMOVED, you can confirm if the pump is spinning by getting down and with the aid of a torch looking in.
This coupled with the lack of sound from the pump confirmed it was not working.
I then ordered one online for 24 hr delivery, disconnected the machine from water and electrics, turned it on its side, and from the underneath, pulled off the 2 cables that supply it, and then rotated and removed the motor. To rotate it you have to push the plastic retaining lug up with a screwdriver. Fitting was reverse of process. Easy !

E20 is a draining issue.check filter and when you have removed filter look inside the filter housing and check the drain pump impellor rotates freely
