The drying cycle stops within a few seconds of starting. There are some clicks which sound like relays or similar devices. During the short period it is on there is some heating being applied and after several attempts the fabrics are warm.
Yes the controls are being operated correctly. When the fault originally occurred the machine would operate correctly after several attempts, but now it seems a permanent fault. sometimes the cycle has got as far as the first tumble before tripping out Is there a problem with the condensing system and if so how is it fixed?

are you setting the dryer timer (round twist knob) and are you pushing in the dryer switch (1st from right?)
