Mend 1383 Model Clock Time

Will not play the melodies?

I have a model #1383 cuckoo clock 3 sets of weights.
Keeps time ok, cuckoo comes out each half hour and hour. Cannot get the chimes to work. They are suppose to play melodies after the call of the cuckoo on the hour.
