How can i fix my central locking on a Ford Mondeo?

hi i was hoping you could help me with something that has been driving me mad, i have a ford mondeo ghia and its 2.5 v6 R reg so i guess that is a mk2? and i have just manged to mend me cabin heater but still cant for the life of me mend my central locking, the thing is it wont lock all the doors if the passnager side front is unlocked but if i lock that with the key or the inside the rest will lock with the remote, same with unlocking, if all doors are shut and locked hitting the button on the key will unlock all doors sep the front passangers, i know its not a life of death thing but it really is a pain when i have both kids and my other half running in and out of the rain to stand there and unlock the front then the rest, any help would really go a long way and thanks again for just taking the time to read this.
