The red light is constantly on on my machine we have done the cleaning proceedure at least 10 time but the red light is constanly on. the machine work okay but the light is always on
Lift lid plastic their is a red plastic window at front this reads the bar code off the pod . Clean plastic window with damp cloth. This should do the trick

I had the same problem. But the machine wouldn't work at all. I got the red light beeping and the green on nothing happens. I messed with the machine in the back water con rarer part there is this little black disc that sinks when there is not enough water, when there is it floats to the top. The machine is telling me there is no water when I fact it's full the disc apears to have rissen to the top but don't work I reach into the water contarner and push it up it works fine. I don't know why it's doing this but I'm just going to rig that floating disc up so it remains in place. If you have the same problem give it a try. Just thought I'd share.

I ran the descaler - held button for three seconds and it ran. Now, it won't work when I put in a coffee pod. No green light. Any ideas?

to de-scale do you require any addatives? I have just put the disk in held button for three seconds and left it run it's course with green and red light flashing.

once you put the yellow/green descale disc in you must hold button for 3 seconds then both green and red light flash as it descales

If you isert the cleaning disk and hold the button for 3 seconds it will descale. Thus causing the flashing red light to go out.
