How can I fix my Philips Elance Cassette Plus 478?

I was using my iron when all of a sudden it went cold.
I'm needing to do a lot of ironing. I know it could do with descaling put I need heat to do this but is that the problem. I've tested the fuse, fuse works.
What is wrong with my iron?
