first, does the central locking work, if not check the battery inside the plip key,also check the diode is soldered onto the circuit board of the plip key correctly,if ok then ckeck for water inside the receiver which is located next to the centre interior light in the roof ,if there are any signs of water been on the circuit board of the receiver you need to clean and then dry it out,and leave it for a while ,if the central locking still does not work after all that ,you will need the chassi number of the car and phone renault dealer and ask if they will give you your immobiliser code the code is 4 digits long,when you have got this code this is how to enter the code and reprogramme the plip key or start the car,right,first put the key in the ignition and turn on ,the red led light on the instrument panel should be flashing fast,now say ie if you code is 1234 you needto press the central locking button and hold the button pressed until you have counted 1 flash of the red led then let go ,then press and hold the button again and count 2 flashes then let go, then press and hold the button again and count 3 flashes then let go do the same for the last digit now when you have entered the last digit if the code is correct the red led light will stay on ,turn the ignition off and press and hold the central locking button and wait till the central locking makes anoise ,then the red led light will come on ,point the plip key at the receiver in the roof and plip the key 3 times the key should reprogramme and you only have time to reprogramme the key as long as the red led stays on and then you have to enter the code again ,if the key still does not work , once you have entered the code just put the key in the ignition and the engine should start.
