Accenta/Optima G3 Alarm - new house?

Hi all
We have purchased a repossessed house with the above fitted. We do not know the code and have removed the fuse for the time being.
Can anyone describe how to reset back to factory defaults.
Also, it appears to have a link to the now disconnected telephone line, is this necessary?
