How to disarm freezer alarm on Philips Whirlpool?

I have a Philips Whirlpool integrated fridge/freezer inherited when I moved into this house. I defrosted the freezer yesterday but since then the freezer alarm will not stop. It stops for about 2 minutes when I open the door but when I shut it the alarm comes on and will not stop. Any ideas as it is driving me bonkers.

My Whirlpool freezer is doing the same thing. The low temperature light is on and the freezer is reading -16*c. Anyone any ideas?
