Renault megane 2004 dci Oil and stop light?

Seems a few folks have had this query, recently had car battery replaced as the good ole boy wouldn't start and left me in a pickle twice in a week!
Does changing the number 19 fuse work or is that just a make shift? What causes the oil and stop light to come on anyone know??
