Mend Toilet Water Ballcock

how can I fix my running toilet?

they were working on the water line in my area and turned the water off and I didnt know it when I used the bathroom and flushed the toilet. Of course it didnt fill right away. When the water came back on, I flushed again to make it fill and of course there was air in the pipes, now when it fills, it wont turn off, I have to finish pulling up the ball to make it stop. do I need to replace the whole thing or can I fix it. I am not smart when it comes to knowing what kind to buy if I have to replace it. Is a toilet in a trailor. What is the best way to proceed?

rust is clogging fill tube . easy to fix if u can follow instructions on back of new parts. comes in an assembly.turn water off . remove water line from tank. at bottom of tank will b a plastic nut holding water fill tube in tank.remove nut.inside tank need to remove small tube from overflow tube.snaps in place. remove tube and old rubber washer from tank bottom. simply install new parts in reverse order. new parts have sliding stop that is part of assembly. adjust slide stop up or down to make water stop at water line in tank.
