can i fix my i eurovox max v?

no my laptop dosent have that port, if i could get a friend to try it, where can i get the software to give it a go at flashing it? otherwise its gotta be that i could try and sell it on ebay and cut my losses, anyway thanks mick for all your support, i really appreciate your help, your a star!!

thats ok , sometimes people put the cable into the ANT and not the rf in, so they get (no signal) when they should "so if the buttons on the box are not doing anything anything , when you press them, only the power button is working , and your getting 0000 , and everything is working on the remote , and the batt are ok in it , " can you test it on a friends eurovox ? all i can thinkof is he put the wrong softeware into the box , and now its stuck , untill its reflashed again , with the right softeware , the problem for people doing this is that their pc/ labtop. is too update" and it dont have the right port on it to link the box to the pc via a cable, see the port on the back of the box , marked . (rs232) well you need the very same one on your pc/ labtop do you have one ??

i have the tv scart plugged in and the lead to power the item up plugged in,also RF IN plugged in, i am sure everything is right, its not the inncorrect cables, its the actual box

tell me what port do you have the cable pluged into at the back of the box , what it say next to it ?

i bought it off ebay and the chap claimed he put it away as he had moved home and when he put it up it was as i have described it , you cannot move up/down, change volume etc even on the box keys, the remote is definately working and is for this model i have made sure and checked

so you never had this box running before. at any time ? and it has all ways shown 0000, i was just wondering if the remote is for a eurovox max v , model is it on the remote? have you ever being into the menu. , i think it was flashed with the wrong firmwear/ software, at some point. can you even get the buttons on the box to change anything on screen , when you have the tv screen on ,,,,,,,

i bought it off ebay being an idiot, was told that only channels do not come up, when i pllugged it up, the the small dashes come up to loadind the display to 0000 on the screem message displays channel unavailable, but i cannot change channel or go into menu, as after turning on it does nor respond in any way, i do not know if anyone has done any work to it

the problem , in sometimes in the softwear that runs the box, thats why i asked was anybody doing work on the box? and was the box updateing itself , on auto , or did you have to put the codes in ? flasking the box means putting new and up todate software , in the box via a lead and a pc . tell me was it says on the tv screen when you have the box on? as it is now ...

ive tried re plugging after a few hours, its just stuck on the 0000 and will not respond at all, after turning on it stays on the 0000 and i cant do anything further , how do you re-flash, any help, sorry im no expert!!

was anybody working on it , you might need to reflash the box, but try power it down for 1 or 2 hours , unpluge it from the socket , 1 hour+ and then try it again ,,,,,
