what is the problem with my subaru impreza?

My 1999 subaru imreza has a ghost fault. it just happened over night whilst i was sleeping. When i start the car all is fine, but then when i put it into gear and drive, there is no power and it just crawls. first i thought the fuel pump, but all seem fine. please help.
