Mend Whirlpool GW Freezer Beeping

Why does my Whirlpool freezer 'beep'?

6 year old whirlpool intergrated freezer, 'beeps' if you leave door open, but now beeps constantly. Only stops if you hit the booster-freeze button. Don't want to spend £300+ on a new freezer!
What's the problem, what's the solution?

Hi, sounds like the thermostat is faulty.
The 'fast cool' over-rides the thermostat!
The beeping means your freezer is getting warm!
