Mend Galaxy Showers 9000S Shower Wont Switch Off

shower won't switch off?

galaxy9000s shower won't switch off solely at the unit, need to pull the cord otherwise it stops and then sends out hot water. Now water is also leaking out where the hose exits the unit. Is it simpler/easier to just get a new shower?
