Mend MTD 14.5 hp, 42" Lawn Mower Riding Engine

How can I fix my Yard Machine 14.5 hp, 42" cut, riding lawn mower?

My Yard Machine Riding lawn Mower fires right up, but it doesn't seem to want to go anywhere. I'll start it up, shift to forward, and set the cruise control, and it won't move. I checked the belts underneath to see if they've slipped or something but they are on. I don't know what else to do.

I have the yard machine 14.5 hp, 42" cut riding lawn mower. It runs just fine but quit driving. I
purchased this a couple weeks ago at a yard sale and it doesn't have the tags under the seat. how do I find out which model it is.

I have the same problem and have not yet fixed it but I found the 6" spring that broke to cause my problem. You might want to check to see if the spring broke on yours it is connected to the brake/clutch under the seat above the rear wheel.
