Main fan Oven stopped working?

We have a Belling Format Cooker and yesterday the trip switch went up. On resetting it we found the fan oven ,which had been on, was no longer working. The fan was working, the light was on but the heating had ceased. Is this likely to be an element needs replacing or the thermostat or is it impossible to tell.

Sorry i havn't got an answer but exactly the same fault has just happened to our cooker. the top and bottom elements work if the switch is to conventional but if switched to fan the fan works but the elements dont heat.

usually its a straight forward element failure and not a thermostat issue
