PIR light turns on and off too quickly despite timer set?

My PIR light was working fine but now when it detects motion it turns on and off very quickly. I have set the timer to max so it should stay on longer but doesn't. Can anyone help?

I should also have added to my previous answer that you might want to adjust the lux setting a little as well.

The PIR has a lux setting which is sensitivity to night and day. When the light turns off then the PIR 'realises' it is night and immediately works i.e turns on, then because of it's own light source it 'thinks' it is daytime and wants to switch off. You need to shade the sensor from it's own connected light. These sensors also rapidly deteriorate and get brittle from direct sunlight. My solution for both these problems was to fix a hood over the sensor. I improvised with by fixing a small plant container for walls and fitted it upside down over the sensor.

i have a similar problem, when the light switches off it immediately switches back on.
I had it happen with a previous light so i changed it for a new one, it was ok for a few months but is now the same
Both were BQ cheapies

Sorry, no answer but same problem, no idea why it does this (two lights do the same, the one near the front door and one near the back...).

So, if you have the answer, please!

Thanks!

You could try to turn off the power set your timer and turn it back on again
Some pir's can only be set by turning power off then back on again.
